Testing. Testing. 1. 2. 3. Is anyone there?

Man, read the first article in the manosphere that got me laughing in a long time at Vox’s: Missing the obvious conclusion.

After reading some of the hilarious things the poor men put up with from a twitter spam bot, I’m curious as to how women would do the same. So, I’m going to make a fake Plenty of Fish account and test it to see how women respond to such nonsensical messages. While I suspect a great many won’t, it’ll be interesting to see if more respond than to ones that do make sense. As controls I’ll probably find some old pictures of me or someone around the same looks and fill in much of the profile the same way as when I dipped my toes into and then left online dating. I’ll also only send the messages to women I find attractive, so that desperate hogs don’t muck up the results.

I anticipate some fun to be had.

  1. YOHAMI says:

I suspect it wont work, since men are the pushy ones and women are the screening ones. The guys will keep pushing as long as the girl responds, because responding means interest. The girls assume you’re interested, and actively withdraw with no warning if they didnt find the kind of value they were expecting.

But Im curious to the results of your experiment.

A few years ago I opened a profile with the picture of a girl I was dating. It was mindblowing to see the kind of interest and proposals this girl received, and to frame our relationship in such abundance and what our dynamics really meant within that frame.

I’d say open two accounts, one male and another female, and track them.

  2. You’re probably right. If it wouldn’t amuse me for a bit with no real time or energy sink I wouldn’t bother. But I do think it’ll amuse me, even if it doesn’t work.

  3. Make both a guy and girl profile…it will blow your mind

  4. Been thinking about it. I’m in Chicago so I’m sure the response would be stupid. As well as give me an insight to the average American man. Maybe its just me in the arts, but sometimes I can’t imagine the average American male is as bad as the manosphere portrays him.

  5. Also there was recently an article on return of kings on how to lie or hide and play with the rules on PoF.

When I get my computer working again I may play around with the whole thing and see what happens

  6. Its worse.
Like I said, when you see things ‘through the eyes of a women’ it wont give you sympathy for them, because they dont deserve it, but you realize the trash you walk in.
